Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Glenn Songer, age 30, a prominent young farmer of the Veedersburg community, died Sunday with a crushed skull, received when he was struck by a falling tree limb. Mr. Songer and his brother, Guy Songer, were cutting a tree on the farm of Oscar Linguist, three miles south of Veedersburg, when the accident occurred. They had cut a number of limbs from the top of the tree and were preparing to fell the main trunk. One limb which had been sawed off, but which had lodged high among the branches, fell to the ground striking Mr. Songer in the head.   --typed by Walt W
