Eileen Songer, 80, Wingate, and formerly of Waynetown, died 8:46 a.m. Saturday in St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Songer was a beautician who worked in Crawfordsville and then 30 years at Orland Park, Ill.  She was a Kingman High School graduate. She attended Butler University and graduated from Crawfordsville Beauty College.

She was born April 25, 1920 at Kingman to Robert Dean and Lela Ethel Day Best.  She married Robert Carlyle Songer on Jan 18, 1942 at Crown Point. He died Jan 10, 1982. Surviving are two sons, Lee C., Wales, Wisc and Robert "Buch" Waynetown; a daughter, Anna Wiley, Schererville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. today in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25, Waynetown with Rev. David Low officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Friends may call noon until the time of services today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big Four Arch Rd, Crawfordsville. - kbz
