VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Della Songer, 78, died at 7 a.m. Monday after a long illness. She was born at Lebanon on Aug. 12, 1888, the daughter of James and Mary Gobble Mullen. Her marriage to Guy S. Songer of Veedersburg took place Aug. 24, 1909. Mrs. Songer was a member of the New Century Evangelical United Brethren Church. The husband is the only immediate survivor. Two sons preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg, with Rev. Ivan Steed in charge. Burial will be in the Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.  --typed by Walt W

Mrs. Della Songer, age 78, of Veedersburg, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in an out of town hospital.
She was born Aug. 12, 1888, at Lebanon.  She was married Aug. 24, 1909, to Guy S. Songer, who survives.  She was a member of the New Century United Brethren Church.
Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: two daughters, Jean and Mary Gobble Mullin.  She was preceded in death by two sons.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg.  The Rev. Ivan Steed officiated and burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery, south of Veedersburg.
