SONGER, Alice Vandevanter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Alice Songer, age 84 died at 11 o'clock Sunday night at her home in Veedersburg following a serious illness of several months' duration.  Mrs. Songer was born Sept 3, 1860 the daughter of John and Elizabeth Keeling VanDevanter.  She was married to James Songer, who died in 1916.  Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Kate Mullen and two sons, Guy Songer of Veedersburg and Roy Songer of Covington.  Funeral services will be at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the J Fred Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg, with burial in Bonebrake cemetery.
