ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Gertrude Alice Solomon, 92, Route 3 Attica, died at the Alward Nursing Home in Attica at 5:15 p.m. yesterday (May 5, 1968) where she had been a patient since Dec., 1967. She had been in ill health since Nov., 1967. The daughter of Fletcher and Sarah Crane Minnick, she was born in Stone Bluff, Ind., June 7, 1875. A resident of Attica the past 20 years, Mrs. Solomon lived in the Stone Bluff area in the early part of her life and then moved to a farm near Kramer, Ind. before moving to Attica. She was married in 1898 to Smith Hoagland at Stone Bluff and later married Oscar Solomon March 22, 1923, at Williamsport, Ind. She was a member of the Stone Bluff Evangelical United Brethren Church. Survivors besides the husband are a son, Dallas Hoagland, Veedersburg, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Prudence Hoagland, Stone Bluff, Mrs. Hazel Towers, Highlands, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica after 4 p.m. today. Services will be at the DeSutter Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Earl Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery.   --typed by Walt W

Mrs. Gertrude Alice Solomon, age 92, of Attica Rt. 3, died at the Alward Nursing Home in Attica at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, May 5, where she had been a patient since Dec., 1967.  She had been in in health since Nov., 1967.
Mrs. Solomon was born in Stone Bluff June 7, 1875, the daughter of Fletcher and Sarah Crane Minnick.  A resident of Attca the past 20 years, Mrs. Solomon lived in the Stone Bluff area in the early part of her life and then moved to a farm near Kramer, before moving to Attica, '

Funeral 'services were held at 1 p.m. today, May 8, at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. The Rev. Earl Carmichael officiated and burial was in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Covington.
