Isaac T. Sollers, 70, retired Covington theatre owner died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday July 9 at St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient since June 8. He had been in declining health for many months. He was born July 31, 1882 at Newman, Ill son of Erastus and Mary Chilcote Sollars (sic). In 1916 he married Ethel Lewis, who preceded him in death in July 1950. Mr. Sollers operated theatres in Tuscola and Dana prior to moving to Covington in 1919 where he operated the Lyric Theatre until his retirement in 1950. He was a member of Fountain Lodge 60, F&AM of which he was a past master, member of Ancient and Accepted Order of Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Murat Temple of Indianapolis and Wabash River Valley Saddle Club. Surviving are two brothers, Joe and Orville both of Newman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The body was returned to the family residence on Sixth St Friday evening. Funeral services were held Sunday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Damer, pastor of Covington Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Tuscola Cemetery, Tuscola, Ill.
