Martin Thomas Snyder was born Sept 23, 1871 the eldest son of Josiah and Isabelle Trinkle Snyder of Bismarck, Illinois. He spent his childhood and early manhood on the farm on which he was born. July 24, 1908 he was united in marriage to Hannah A. Phillips of State Line, Ind and to this union were born a son and daughter, Martin E of Indianapolis and Garnet R. Bodine of West Chicago, Ill. In the spring of 1918, the Snyder family moved to a farm in the vicinity of Veedersburg where he was engaged in farming. In 1922 he moved to Veedersburg and went into business. A few years later he went into the contract transfer business in which he was engaged in until last spring. He leaves the following survivors: his widow, the two children and the following grandchildren – Larry and Sharon Snyder and Terry Bodine; a sister, Mrs. Dora Wilson of Bismarck, Ill. His younger brother Oath Snyder preceded him in death. He also leaves many other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors. – kbz
