Howard K. Snyder, 66 of 2005 Lebanon Road, a retired farmer died Sunday morning at his home. He had been in failing health two years. Mr. Snyder farmed in the New Richmond area until his retirement last January. He also had been employed at ASCS. He was a member of Montgomery County Farm Bureau and attended East Side Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Hillsboro HS. Born Dec 7, 1909, at Corydon, he was a son of Alva and Alta Steonecipher Snyder. He was married to Roberta Hutchinson (sic) on Feb 24, 1937, at Veedersburg. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Crawfordsville and Stephen of Rt 6; two brothers, Ralph and Carl of Hillsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Eileen Cooper of Kokomo; Mrs. Thelma Ingersoll of Hillsboro and Mrs. Vera Schermerhorn of Indianapolis and five grandsons. Twin daughters are deceased.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Rev. Bill Cato officiaiting. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

Howard K. Snyder, 66, of Crawfordsville, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning (Dec. 14, 1975) at his home. He had been ill two years. Born Dec. 7, 1909 at Corydon, he was the son of Alva and Alta Snyder. On Feb. 24, 1937, at Veedersburg, he married Roberta Hutchins, who survives. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High and a retired farmer from New Richmond area. He attended the Eastside Baptist Church in Crawfordsville and was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Stephen, both of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Ileen Cooper of Kokomo, Mrs. Thelma Ingersoll of Hillsboro and Mrs. Vera Schermerhorn of Indianapolis; two brothers, Ralph and Carl, both of Hillsboro; and five grandsons.
