SNYDER, Earl

Waynetown—Earl Snyder, 82, Route 1, Waynetown, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 1989 in Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville.

  He was born Oct. 19, 1916 at Linden, the son of James and Maude Miller Snyder. He was married Nov. 14, 1926 at Crawfordsville to Edith Smith of Waynetown, who survives.

  He had been employed as a brick mason and mechanic. He farmed in the Waynetown community from 1933 until retirement in 1979. He was a member of Yountsville Community Church, Montgomery County Farm Bureau and Crawfordsville Royal Neighbors. He attended Linden schools.

  Surviving besides his wife are a son, Gerald, Route 1, Waynetown; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Ellis, Route 1, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Earleen Hullinger Kurtz, Lake Holiday; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. James Ireland officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
