SNYDER, Clara Lowe - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WAYNETOWN — Clara Ovetta (Lowe) Snyder, 70, Waynetown, died at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Oct. 22, 1929 in Veedersburg, the daughter of Blythe Z. and Mary I. Stephens Lowe. She married Gerald Snyder Sept. 12, 1948 in Waynetown. He survives. She was a graduate of Veedersburg High School. She was a farm wife/homemaker. She was a member of Yountsville Community Church. Survivors, besides the husband, include: two sons, Harold Snyder, Waynetown and Mark Snyder, New Market; a daughter, Rhoda (Gary) Grimes, Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mary Lou Hinotte, Veedersburg and Jean Harper, Spring Hill, Fla. and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Archie Smith officiating. Burial was in Waynetown, Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 401 S. Earl Ave., Suite 2c, Lafayette, Ind. 47904. – jlr
