George Andrew Snouwaert, 86, Rt 2, Attica died at Edgewood View Healthcare Center, Oxford on Thursday Dec 4 at 5:05 p.m. having been ill 5 days and a patient there four years. He was born near Lafayette Dec 30, 1899, the son of Leo and Mary Smith Snouweart. He had lived all of his life around Lafayette and the Odell communities and had attended school in Jackson Twp. He was a lifetime farmer. He was never married. Surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. Martha Pearl, Attica; Miss Minnie Snouwaert, Rt 2, Attica and Mrs. Helen Fox, Williamsport; 4 brothers, Amiel, Attica; Robert, Rt 1, Williamsport; Emerson, Monon and Leslie Rt 2, Attica. Funeral services were held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. Pallbearers were: Jeffrey and Glen Bossaer; George and Leo Synesael, Clifford Wolf and Jesse Whitkanack. Burial in Salem Cemetery, east of Attica.
