Mrs. Effie Dell McCarty Snelling, 82, of West Point Rt. 1, died Friday (May 1, 1970) in Lafayette Care Nursing Home where she had been a patient for seven weeks. She had been ill for the past five years. Mrs. Snelling was a member of the Jackson Heights United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, a farmer; a daughter, Mrs. Elwood Stover of Rt. 3, Lafayette; two sons, Ralph O. Snelling of Boswell and William L. Snelling of Birmingham, Mich.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. --typed by Walt W
