George Ord Sweezey, age 66, a resident of the Covington community most of his life, died Monday, Oct. 15, at his home. He had been ill 20 years. Born Dec. 5, 1895, in Covington, he was the son of George T. and Van Nora Phebus Sweezey. He was married in 1919 to Lillian Hazel Wallace. Mr. Sweezey had resided alone and had been employed as a log cutter and railroader. He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Fassion of Standard, Ill., Mrs. Louise Margherio of Spring Valley, Mrs. Vera Kreacioc of LaSalle and Mrs. Lola Foster of Peru; three sons, Louis of Norfolk, Va., John of Spring Valley and Gerald of Marysville, Calif.; three brothers, Joseph of Covington, Edward of Covington and Frederick of Louisville, Ky.; six sisters, Mrs. Emile Holden of Covington, Mrs. Nona Ricketts of Indianapolis, Mrs. Marie Cruea of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Davis of California, Mrs. Elda Orticcilli of Niagara Falls, N. Y., and Mrs. Edna Custer of Garrett; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a child and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate. Military services will be conducted and burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
