Veedersburg -- John Stucker, age 64, inspector a number of years with the Indiana State Highway Department, and a former Covington resident, died at 6:30 a. m. Monday, Jan. 14, in his Veedersburg residence. He had been ill three years. Born March 19, 1898, in Fountain County, he was the son of Thomas and Inez Neighbors Stucker. He was married April 1, 1924, to Helen Minnick, who survives. Mr. Stucker was a veteran of World Wars I and II. He was a member of the Veedersburg Lions Club and the American Legion Post. He had farmed in the area and had been an inspector for the state highway department. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Mary Giddings of Chicago; a half-brother, Thomas Stucker of Mellott, a niece and a nephew. Private funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home. The Rev. Samuel Pritchard will officiate. Burial will be in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral today, Jan. 16, from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m.   --typed by Walt W
