Harry L. Stevenson, Covington Rt 1, ended his life about 7 o’clock Wednesday  morning at his home south of Covington at Crossport.  Mr. Stevenson has membership with the Osborn Prairie Church on confession shot himself through the head above the left ear with a .38 pistol.    A note left behind stated that he was suffering with a cancer and requested the Shelby Funeral Home take charge of his body.  Mr. Stevenson’s body was found by Charles Bever, who noticed him lying between the front gate and the porch of the home.  Mr. Bever, who was riding by the farm on a motor bike immediately notified the authorities in Covington.  He was born July 12, 1879, in Fountain County the son of Robert and Sarah Keller Stevenson.  He is survived only by nieces.  Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon with burial in the Snoddy    --– transcribed by kbz
