WILLIAMSPORT — Blanche C. (Bury) Norton, 86, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2002 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport, where she had been a resident since May 2000. She had been in failing health the past three years. She was born April 27, 1915 near Stockland, Iroquois County, Ill., the daughter of John and Carrie Hallock Bury. She married Ivan F. Norton Sept. 10, 1932 in Watseka, Ill. he was a farmer. He preceded in death Oct. 3, 1989. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a secretary at Seeger Memorial High School for a few years and also helped on the family farm. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in West Lebanon, O.E.S. Chapter #162 and KMPS Club in West Lebanon Survivors include: a daughter, Kay Jones, Attica; a son, Clyde M. (Frances) Norton, Williamsport; a sister, Mable (Sidney) Cheever, Stockland, Ill.; four grandchildren, Matt Norton, Williamsport, Kenney Norton, Winter Park, Fla., Dani (Randy) Snider, Attica and Kathy Jones, Attica; and two great-grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Snider. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grady Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. Roger McDaniel officiating. Burial was in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Stockland, Ill. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church or donor's choice. – jlr
