The friends of Rev. Robert Norris deceased, who lost his life in a noble effort to save the life of Miss Farrington, near Zanesville on the 7th of July, '98, are now making an effort to put a fitting monument over his grave in the beautiful Silver Island cemetery near Silverwood, Ind. Bro. Norris’ home was in Bedford, Ireland. Both his parents were dead and be was in America preaching and getting an education at De Puaw University. As he has no relatives in this country to contribute to the building of a monument, friends are taking the matter in hand. This is a worthy cause. Bro. Norris endeared himself to all with whom he came in contact. Any friend wishing to contribute to his fund will please send contributions to the present pastor, Rev. Jno Palmer, Kingman, Ind., or to any member of the monument fund: Mel Sturms, H. C. Randolph Silverwood, and A. P. Burnside, Covington, Ind. – jlr
