NORRIS, Opal Lightle

Mrs. Opal Mae Norris, 83, Veedersburg, died at 5:07 a.m. Friday, November 11, at Covington Manor Nursing Home.
Born February 20, 1900 near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of William L. and Millie Lindley Lightle. On July 9, 1942 she married Thomas Norris in Chicago, who died in 1966. She had lived in Veedersburg since 1968 and previously lived in Indianapolis and Chicago. She was a member of the Baptist Church near Cates.
Survivors include five brothers, Glenn of Logsden, Oregon, Arnet of Indianapolis, Clyde and Harry, both of Veedersburg, and Mort of Kingman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kelso and Ray, two half brothers, Arthur and Guy Lightle, and a half sister, Myrtle Holycross.
Services were conducted Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. David Nichols officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery near Veedersburg. – thanks to S
