NORRIS, Nell - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Miss Nell Norris of Covington, age 93, died Wednesday morning, December 22, in Covington Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Troy Township, Fountain County, November 4, 1889, the daughter of Jacob and Lizaben Nebeker Norris. She was a member of Covington United Methodist Church and a 50-year member and past matron of Troy Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

  A graduate of Covington High School and Upland University, now Taylor University, she taught school in Warren and Fountain Counties. She worked as a legal secretary many years, was formerly a deputy auditor in Fountain County and retired at age 82 from Shelby Furniture Company in Covington, where she was employed more than 20 years.

  Survivors include a sister, Ruth Fox of Danville, Illinois; four nieces, three nephews and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington.
