TANGIER, Ind. (CNS) – Orville Norman, 79, of Tangier Route 1, died Wednesday morning (July 28, 1976) at his home. He had been ill for some time. A construction worker, he worked with the Parke County Highway Department for 18 years and also was employed by the C & ES and Baltimore and Ohio Railroads. Born May 11, 1897, he was the son of Edgar and Mae Laughlin Norman. He married Geneva Adams, who survives. other survivors include five sons, Clarence, Raymond and Robert, all of Bloomingdale, Ray of Rossville, Ill., and Roy of Attica, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Kotcher of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Alma Hill of Bloomfield; four brothers, Howard of Rockville, Owen of Bloomingdale, Fred of Tangier and Hugh of Montezuma; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tudor-Herrick Memorial Chapel in Rockville, with the Rev. Edward McFarland officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery north of Montezuma. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. – jlr
