NORMAN, James Enos

James Enos Norman was born in Harveysburg, Fountain County, Ind, Dec 3rd, 1866.  He was married to Mary E. Allen Jan 12th, 1895. His wife and three small children, Zora, Dora and Merle survive him, besides an aged father, five sisters and two brothers. In disposition he was genial and friendly. As a citizen he was kind, generous and accommodating. He united with the Christian Church in the winter of 1899.  He became a member of the K of P lodge April 23, 1891 and was highly esteemed by the brotherhood. He was also a member of New Ross Lodge No 397, IOOF. His sickness was long and painful. He died Feb 23, 1902 age 36 Years 2 Months and 20 Days.

Whereas, death has for the fifth time entered our castle hall and this time removed our beloved brother Norman therefore be it

Resolved that in the death of Brother Norman the lodge has lost a valued member, his wife a faithful husband.

Resolved, that in the death of our brother this lodge acknowledges new obligations, and hereby declares its allegiance to his widow and orphans and will willingly lend a helping hand wherever and whenever they may be in need.

Resolved, that in tribute to the memory of our deceased brother this castle hall be draped in mourning and the obituary and these resolutions be spread on record and a copy furnished his family as a memento.
