Covington - Funeral services for Walter Noble, 71, a former resident of Covington who died Monday morning Dec 11 at his home in Palmetto, Fl were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Barrick & Son in Danville, Ill. The Rev. Joe Detamore officiated and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, north of Danville. Mr. Noble, a retired employee of Leverenz Automotive Service of Danville was born May 15, 1896, in Indiana the son of Allen and Julia Thomas Noble. He was a veteran of WWI. He had resided in Flordia the past 7 years. Surviving are his wife, Phoebe, his stepmother, Mrs. Ola Noble of Covington; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Ann Ritter of Covington; one stepson, Eugene Rodgers of Charleston, Ill; one stepdau, Mrs. Erma Holliday of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and 3 sister, Mrs. Eva Hale, Mrs.Clara Murray and Mrs. Lula Auter all of Covington.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 14, in Fullerton, Calif., for Robert Noble, age 32, son of Walter Noble, resident of the Tree Springs neighborhood on Covington Rt. 2, who was killed in an auto accident Friday in Los Angeles. The deceased formerly lived in Danville, where he attended school. He was born in St. Bernice. His father is a half-brother to Mrs. Oral (Eva) Hale of Covington. Details of the accident, which took his life, were not available. He is survived by his father; his mother, Mrs. J. B. Owensby of Goodland, Ind., his wife and four children and a sister, Mrs. Merle Ritter, of California. --typed by Walt W
