Covington- J. Pearl Noble, Covington, 87, died at 6:35 p.m. July 10, 1997 in Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville. She was born Dec 18, 1909 in Covington, daughter of William M. and Bertha Hodge Cruea. She married David R. Noble April 3, 1928 in Danville, Ill. He preceded in death Nov 6, 1985. She was a life resident of Covington and had operated a fish and vegetable market with her husband many years. She enjoyed reading and watching TV. Surviving are two daughters, Betty (Hershel) Sams, Covington; Pattie (Glenn) Reynolds, West Lebanon, a son, Dean (Charlotte) Noble, Covington; a sister, Louise (Harold) Hurley, Covington; 17 grand and step grandchildren 38 great grand and step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Asa Cruea; two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Randy Walters officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
