Richard Nine passed away Tuesday at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health-Crawfordsville. He was 77 years old. He was a retired press operator at RR Donnelley. Mr. Nine was born Dec. 4, 1933 in Hillsboro to Minerva Nine. He attended Hillsboro schools and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Ruth Nicholson on March 4, 1951. She survives. Other survivors include his son Gary Nine of Montgomery, Texas, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Thompson officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
