Hillsboro - Mrs. Magdaline Nine, 72 year old prominent resident of this community, died about 8 pm. Thursday at her home after a long illness. She was born Jun e7, 1888 in Fountain County, a daughter of Thomas and Lydia Summers Day. She married William NIne 2-18-1914. Mr. and Mrs. Nine lived in this community all their married life and operated the NIne Hotel here the past 20 years. rs. Nine was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, Centennial Cem. League and was a Pastor Worthy Matron of Hillsoro OES She attended Madam Blaker College in Indianapolis and Terre Haute State Normal College and taught school at Steam Corner. Survivors include her husband: four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Day of Veedersburg; Mrs. Ruby Rich and Mrs.Mary Andrews, both of Yeddo and Mrs. Maxine Bryant of Williamport and a brother, Harry Day of Phoenix. She was preceded in d. by her parents, 3 brothers and two sisters. Fun. serv. were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating. Burial was in Cenntennial Cemetery.

HILLSBORO – Funeral services for Mrs. Magdaline Nine, who died at her home in Hillsboro Thursday night, were held at the Crumley Funeral Home here Sunday afternoon. Rev. Bennett Fulp of Crawfordsville officiated. Organ music was by Mrs. Mary Louise Newman, who also accompanied Mrs. Maxine Bever and Mrs. Pearl Hall, who sang, “Good Night and Good Morning,” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Pallbearers were Donald and Robert Johns, of Hillsboro; Paul Johns and Thomas McBroom, of Lafayette; Quinton Bryant, of Williamsport and S. R. Anders of Yeddo. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery near Yeddo. – jlr
