NILE, Maynard

Maynard L. Nile, 63, Meadow Heights Nursing Center, Williamsport, died 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been ill two years and hospitalized on week.
He was born at Jackson, Mich., Sept. 11, 1911, the son of Mervin and Grace Lavey Nile. Except for the two years he lived in the Attica area, he had lived all his life in Jackson. He was married there in 1933 to Dorothy Lowe, who preceded him in death in 1960. He graduated from St. John’s high school in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan and Jackson Junior College. He was an electrical contractor by trade. He was a member of Queens of Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Jackson. Surviving are a son, James Nile, Attica; two brothers, Edwin Nile, South Amboy, N.J.; Joseph Nile, Florida. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body was taken to the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica and transferred Monday to the Desnoyer Funeral Home in Jackson where friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Rosary services will be held there 8 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at the Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Wright officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Jackson. – s
