NICHOLS - Lean Jean

Lean Jean Nichols of RR 1, Kingman, age 70, died Wednesday night, August 25, at her home. She was born in Coles, Illinois, March 9, 1912, the daughter of Murray R. and Sally A. Shields Walters. In 1934, she married Fred Nichols, who died March 10, 1981. Mrs. Nichols was a member of the Kingman Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Lawson of Kingman; four sons, Earl of Bloomington, Les of Norfolk, Virginia, Dan of Indianola, Illinois, and Murray of Covington; a sister, Helen Tolliver of Mattoon, Illinois; three brothers, Bill Walters of Hindsboro, Illinois, John Walters of St. Louis and Burel Walters of Las Vegas, Nevada; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. James Lane officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery near Yeddo. – thanks to S
