NEWNUM, Irene - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington – Irene A. Newnum, 90, died at 3:35 a.m. Monday Feb 9 in Covington Manor Health Center, where she had been a patient one month. Born Dec 19, 1907 in Fulton Township, Fountain County she lived in Yeddo for many years and moved to Covington in 1987.  She married Dallas Ray Newnum on Sept 13, 1927 in Covington and he died March 16.  Mrs. Newnum was a homemaker. She was a member of Yeddo Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 26 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Betty) Evans of Waynetown, Mrs. Don (Norma Jean) Voorhees of Englewood, Ohio and Mrs. Bob (Sharon) Huxford of Covington; a son, Gary Newnum of Covington; and a sister, Phyllis Pucket of Covington. Services are Wednesday in Covington.
