NEWNUM, Forest W. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Forest W. “Bud” Newnum of Crawfordsville, age 68, died Friday morning, June 19, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born in Fountain County, May 23, 1913, the son of Joseph and Patience Walton Newnum. November 5, 1938, he married Virginia Cornell, who died in 1966. Newnum was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Crawfordsville and had retired in 1976 after 42 years with R. R. Donnelley and Sons Company.

  Surviving are two daughters, Ruthanna Burgess and Linda Newnum, both of Crawfordsville; three sons, Wayne and Dale of Peru and William of Reinbeck, Iowa; a sister, Gladys Long of rural Crawfordsville; and eight grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Robert Ostermeier and Rev. Leland Britt officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery North at Crawfordsville. – thanks to S
