Otterbein—Leona Nelson, 86, 285 N. Main St., Otterbein, died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 1989, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
  She was born Dec. 7, 1902 in Attica. She was married in 1921 to Luther Nelson, who preceded her in death in 1970.
  She attended Attica schools, but spent most of her life in the Otterbein area. She was a homemaker and did housecleaning for several people in the area. She also was a volunteer at Otterbein care Center until her recent illness.
  She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Sharing and Caring Granny Band and Prairie Adult Club.
  Surviving are three sons, Eugene and Robert, both of Otterbein, and Paul, Lafayette; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister and one grandchild.
  Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Steely Funeral Home, Otterbein. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday service in Otterbein United Methodist Church.
