“The grim reaper, death, is no respecter of persons, we all know that, never the less, when a young wife and mother is stricken down the community feels the loss all the more and those nearest and dearest to her find it hard to recover, and forget, and go one with life as before.

Leora Edwards Nehemiah, wife of Bert Nehemiah, was born 26 years ago and departed this life at her home near Tab, Thursday morning, October 10th of Spanish influenza and pneumonia. Besides a heart broken husband and little son, aged 5, she leaves behind father, mother, brothers, one sister, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was taken to Veedersburg and laid to rest in Cold Springs Cemetery near that place Friday at 4 o’clock.

Mr. Nehemiah wishes especially to thank Ed Larch and family whom he worked, for the loving care they gave his wife in her fatal illness, for the Ambia doctor and his good wife, who made noble sacrifices, and all the others who rendered aid to him in this his darkest hour. There are times when words are entirely inadequate one feels in a time like this, but at least those who have been through a similar experience can understand.”
