ATTICA - Virgil L. Neal age 62, of the Rob Roy community on Attica Rt. 4, died at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been a patient there several days and had been ill since June 1.
Mr. Neal was born Feb, 6, 1906; at Estelle County, Ky., the son of Pleasant and Flora Tipton Neal. He had resided in Cincinnati, Ohio for 18 years and then moved to Mooresville, Ind., before coming, to Rob Roy April 1, 1968. He was married Nov. 15, 1924, at Irvin, Ky., to Barbara Ellen Hughes who survives. He had attended the Berea Foundation at Berea, Ky., and had been a brakeman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for 42 years.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: three sons, Roger of Covington, Ky., Roy B. of Cincinnati and James P. of North
Platte, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Joanne Woolridge of Independence and Mrs. Betti Jane Lockard of Cincinnati; one brother,
Clyde of Irvin, Ky.;.12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 7, at the Lewis Funeral Home in Irvin, Ky. The Rev. Douglas Miller officiated and burial was in the West Irvin Cemetery. The DcSutter Funeral Home of Attica was in charge of local arrangements. - jz
