George Walter Neal,
71, of Lafayette, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2000 in Rosewalk
Village, where he had been a resident since April 14. He had been failing in
health since October. Born on January 21, 1929 near West Point, he had been a
lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Attica High School. For 25
years he was a parts man at Unit Parts and had previously worked for Hoffine’s
Garage and Body Shop. His marriage was to Mabel Marie Heninger on August 12,
1950. She survives. Mr. Neal was a U. S. Army veteran and was stationed in
Germany. He was a member of Lafayette Moose, 40 & 8 and American Legion
Post #11. Also surviving, are: a son, George Earl Neal of White House, Tenn.; a
daughter, Dorothy (Randy) Minnier of Lafayette; three sisters, Margaret Schultz
and Jean Perrigo, both of Attica, and Bonnie (Phillip) Trent of West Point; a
granddaughter, Jennifer Rusin and a great-grandson, Bradley Rusin. Memorial
service was Wednesday at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel with Rev. Dr. R.
Clayton Kendall officiating. Inurnment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. – jlr
