Waynetown, July 17 = Funeral services for Miss Esther Neal of this place who died in Indianapolis following an operation on Wednesday were conducted here by Rev. PJ Lough in the Christian Church this morning.  Interment was in the Masonic cemetery.  Miss Neal was born in Fountain County 18 years ago but had lived and attended school most of her life at this place being one of the graduates from the high school this year.  She was a quiet, womanly young girl with a keen intellect and possessed many noble traits of character and the future seemed to hold so much in store for her, making it hard to understand why her young life should be ended just when it seemed she was ready to enter into its activities.

Esther, with her sister, Ruth united with Christian Church under the pastorate of Rev. OE Kelly at the age of 13 years and was active in the work of the church, in the Sunday School, Christian Endeavour sand especially the mid-week prayer meeting, she loved to attend.  Besides her parents, she leaves a twin sister Ruth and a younger sister Elsie and a host of young friends who will sadly miss her; but let us say, "not our will but Thine be done, O, Lord."
