NEAL, Clement - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mellott, Dec 7 – Clement N. Neal 80 a retired farmer, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head Monday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Irvin Riley with whom he had been making his home since last August.  His body was found on his bed this morning.  He was a lifelong resident of this locality and had been blind for 15 years.  Born near Mellott, he was a son of John and Elizabeth (Howser) Neal.  Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Riley are another, Mrs. Lawrence Linville, of Newtown, two sons, Raymond Neal, Greencastle and Russell Neal, Hillsboro, a brother, James Neal of Covington and sister, Mrs. Rella Stockdale, Wingate. – kbz
