Covington—Edith Doris Nash, 80, Covington, died at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1989 at United Samaritans Medical Center, Sager Campus, Danville, Ill.
She was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Fountain County, the daughter of Pearlie Lee and Phoebe Richardson Orahood. She was married Sept. 7, 1926, to Lee Nash, who preceded her in death June 4, 1982.
She had been a resident of Fountain County until 1942. She lived in Harvey, Ill. from 194201970 and in Wilford, Ark. from 1970-1982, when she moved back to Covington.
She was a member of Covington Senior Citizens.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Imogene Millsaps, Muskogee, Okla.; Mrs. Bonnie Merchant, Sauk Village, Ill.; Mrs. Ida Ravesloot, Chicago Heights, Ill.; Mrs. Donna Rogers, Harvey; and Peggy Arterburn, West Lebanon; a son, George, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Rachael Summers, Veedersburg; 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and two daughters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Funeral services will be there at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Steven Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Cooper’s Chapel Cemetery. – s-
