NASH, Audra May Cook

Mrs. Audra May Nash, age 86, of Danville, Ill., a former resident of Covington, was found dead in her home late Wednesday morning, May 3.  Coroner Ralph Sargent of Danville,Ill., attributed death to natural Causes.
Mrs. Nash had resided in Danville 28 years and was a former resident of Fountain County.  She was born April 29, 1881, in Parke County, the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Elizabeth Snoddy Cook.  She was married in 1905 to Frank Nash, who preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1931.  She was the last survivor of a family of six children.  She was a member of the Second Church of Christ and the Sixty Club, both of Danville.
Surviving are: four sons, Oren A. of Galena, Ill., Byron C. of New Whiteland, Lt. Col. Charles E. of Mission, Tex., and Louis V. of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Doris O'Neal of Watseka, Ill., Mrs. Charlotte Schultz of Genoa City, Wis., and Mrs. Mildred Alexander of Chrisman, Ill., 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington.  Freddie Griffith officiated. Burial was in the Silver Island Cemetery, south of Covington.  - jz
