Mrs. Alta Blanche Nail, 83, of 1300 N. Perry St., Attica, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 1962, at the Allen Nursing Home at Rockville, Ind.  She had been in ill health eight months.
Born Nov. 16, 1879 at Attica, she was married to Charles Nail in 1900.  He preceded her in death in 1949.
Mrs. Nail and her husband had operated a restaurant in Attica from 1926-29.  She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Paul Simmons of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Thelma McFerran of Attica; a son, Chester Nail of Twainhart, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs, Lula Farmer of Attica and Mrs. Myrtle Holycross of Indianpolis.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Roemer Funeral Chapel in Attica with William Minor of Lafayette, in charge. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica.  - jz
