Robert Leroy (Bob) McMurray Sr., age 52, of Danville, Ill., a former resident of Covington, died at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, at Lake View Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He had been a salesman for the L. D. McKinzie Co. of Danville for 30 years and he had taken orders and delivered cigarettes and candy in Covington for many years. He was born June 2, 1913, at Hoopeston, Ill., the son of William and Cora Roberts McMurray. He was married June 9, 1935 to Cleo Ramshaw at Williamsport. He was a member of St. James Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge and Modern Woodmen of America, all of Danville. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: his mother, Mrs. William McMurray of Hoopeston; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Margo) Leahy of Danville; one son, Robert Jr., at home; one brother, Harold of Hoopeston and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Paul Curry officiated.  -- jlr
