Oakley C. McMasters, age 57, a resident of Perrysville Rt. 1 for the past 11 years, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Carle Memorial Hospital in Urbana, Ill., where he had been a patient 45 minutes.
Mr. McMasters had been the Chevrolet Dealer in Georgetown, Ill. for the past 28 years.
He was born in Cayuga Sept. 27, 1909, the son of John E. (and) Junetta White McMasters. He was married in Paris, Ill., March 14, 1928 to Susie Stevenson, who survives. He was a member of the Russell Masonic Lodge 154 and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Danville.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Robert and Frank of Georgetown and area; one daughter, Norma Jean Sender of Georgetown Rt. 1; one brother, Col. Doyne McMasters, retired, of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. O. F. Roark of Cayuga and Mrs. Faye Potter of Newport; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Georgetown Church of Christ. The Rev. Donald True and the Rev. Ed Armstrong officiated. Burial, with the Houghton Funeral Home of Georgetown in charge, was in the Georgetown Cemetery.
