McMASTERS, Cyrus - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cyrus McMasters, 70 died at 1:30 Thursday Feb 7 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Russell, Bloomingdale where he was taken from his home West of Kingman when he contracted pneumonia.  The body was removed from the Shelby Funeral Home, Covington to the home of Mrs. Mary Smith, Kingman, Friday. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at Centennial Church near Yeddo with interm in the church cem. Mr. McMasters was born March 21, 1875 son of Rufus and Margaret Milligan McMasters and was married July 10, 1897 to Miss Emma Smith who preceded him in death 4 years ago. He leaves two sons, Guy of Tangier and Lex of Marshall; 3 daughters, Mrs. Russell, Bloomingdale, Mrs. Smith and Mrs Mildred Grubbs of Kingman a step daughter Mrs. Ruby Steele, Danville, a sister, Mrs. Lynna Dowden, Kinmgna and a brother, Wm. McMasters, Indianapolis. There are 11 grandchildren and 3 greats.
