John T. McMahon, age 50, native and former resident of Covington, died at 9:30 p. m. Sunday, March 10, in the Ft. Wayne Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Covington Feb. 2, 1913, the son of Patrick J. and Alice Murray McMahon. The family moved to Ft. Wayne in 1926. He was married in 1939 to Katherine Habecker, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: five children, Mary K., John, Elizabeth, Kathleen and Kevin, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Claire Broderick and Miss Magdalen McMahon, both of Ft. Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Alice. Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Payne, Mrs. Homer ( Josephine) Royal, Mrs. Bob ( Ruth) Kieran and Mrs. F. R. (Cecil) Harden, all of Covington, are cousins. Funeral services were held at 9 a. m. today, March 13, at the Precious Blood Church and burial was in Ft. Wayne. --typed by Walt W
