VEEDERSBURG --- Mrs. May McLean, 91, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of a son, Grady McLean, who resides near here. She had been in failing health nine months. Mrs. McLean was a life-long resident of this community. She was a member of Osborn Prairie Christian Church. Born April 20, 1872 one mile west of here, she was one of nine children. Her parents were Samuel and Virginia Clicker Grady. She Married William McLean Feb. 18, 1892. He died April 18, 1957. Survivors include the son at whose home she died; a brother, Homer Grady of Attica; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parham Funeral Home here. Rev. Conley Rowland will officiate. Interment will be in Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday. --typed by Walt W

Funeral services for Mrs. May McLean, 91 years of age, one of the older members of Osborn Prairie Christian Church, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Parham Funeral Horne. Rev, Conley Rowland, of the Stone Bluff E. U. B, Church, conducted the service. Interment took place in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. McLean had, been in ill health for nine months and died at the home of a son, Grady McLean in Stone Bluff at 3:30 am. Sunday, Sept. 22, 1963. The McLean and Grady families were among pioneers in the Stone Bluff - Osborn Prairie - Veedersburg area.
She was born on April 20, 1872, on a farm west of Veedersburg, and was the daughter of Samuel and Virginia Clickner Grady, and was one of a family of nine children.
As a life resident of Fountain County, she became a member of the Osborn Prairie Church in the eighties, when there were large numbers of accessions, early membership records indicate.
She was married to William McLean, a farmer, on February 18, 1892. He died on April 18, 1957. She was preceded in death also by an infant daughter, a son, Fred, and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include the son, Grady; a brother, Homer Grady, of Attica; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. - jz
