Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

VEEDERSBURG—Frederick E. McLean, 65, retired painter and decorator, died at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient a week. He had been in failing health several years. Born near Veedersburg May 17, 1897, he was a son of William and May Grady McLean. He was a member of Osborne Prairie Christian Church. Surviving are the 90-year-old mother and a brother, Grady McLean, both of Veedersburg, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Funeral Home. Rev. George Linton will officiate, and burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.  --typed by Walt W
