Attica — Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, April 6, at the Williamsport Christian Church for Mrs. Della McKinzie, age 85, of Attica Rt. 4, a life resident of Warren County, who died at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She had been a patient there six hours and had been in ill health for some time. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery, with the DeSutter Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. McKinzie was born Aug. 13, 1877, in Independence, a daughter of Frank M. and Emma Brown Allen. She was married Dec. 24, 1899, at Independence to William McKinzie, who survives. She was a graduate of the Williamsport High School and had attended Indiana State College. She had taught school for several years in Warren County. Mrs. McKinzie was known in the area for writing poetry. Survivors include her husband; a son, Allen of Delphi; a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Hildenbrand of Attica; two sisters, Miss Nila F. Allen of Lafayette and Mrs. Wilbur Harmond of West Point; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  -- typed by Walt W
