VEEDERSBURG — Barney McKinney, 69, Veedersburg, died at 9:28 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002 in St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport. He was born Dec. 9, 1932 in Illinois, the son of Dan and Opal Jones McKinney. He married Lula M. Coonse in 1956 in Danville, Ill. She survives. He served in the U. S. Army and retired from General Motors Central Foundry in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville and the Moose Lodge in Attica. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, James D. and Michael G. McKinney, both of Veedersburg; a brother, Robert F. McKinney, Veedersburg; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. – jlr
