McINTYRE, Sarah Jane Parson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Sarah Jane Parson McIntyre, 75, 1314 Georgetown Road, Danville, Ill., died at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville. She was born Sept. 23, 1910, in Covington, the daughter of Walter and Margaret Ann Patterson Fulton. She married William Leonard Parson. He died in 1947. She then married Leslie "Chic" McIntyre. He died in 1978. She had worked for William Davies Packing, Hile Packing, and Kickapoo Sportswear. She enjoyed sewing and growing flowers. Surviving are four sons, Richard Parson, Elgin, Ill.; William Parson and Terry Parson, both of Danville, and Donald Parson, San Bernadino, Calif.; two daughters, Carolyn Cornell and Patricia Cassidy, both of Danville; 20 grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Earl, Danville, and a niece, Barbara Claypool, Oakwood, Ill. She was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Friday) at Barrick & Son Guardian Chapel, Danville, with the Rev. Curtis Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Those so desiring may contribute in memoriam to the Vermilion County Heart Fund.
