McGURK, Julie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Julie McGurk of Jacksonville, Florida, age 35, died Friday, October 23, in University Hospital at Jacksonville. She was born at Peoria, Illinois, April 23, 1946, the daughter of Harry L. and Julia Clark McGurk. She was a member of Crawfordsville First Baptist Church and a homemakers Club at Crawfordsville. For the past six months, she worked as a legal secretary in Jacksonville.

  Surviving are her children, Derek Shane Allen and Erin Lynn Allen of Plainfield; her father of Frogmore, South Carolina; two sisters, Ann M. Sokan of Normal, Illinois, and Molly M. Lamb of Beaufort, South Carolina; a brother, H. Lincoln McGurk of Wisconsin; uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.

  A memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Miller officiating. After cremation, burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. on Friday. -s
