Parvin McGinnis Succumbs At 73- KINGMAN- Parvin McGinnis, 73-year-old retired farmer of five miles east of Kingman, died early Thursday morning in Lakeview Memorial Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was a son of Thomas and Susan Starnes McGinnis and was born in Fountain County April 29, 1887. He was married June 4, 1910 to Bessie Atkinson, who survives. Mr. McGinnis was a member of the Freedom Christian Church near Wallace. Surviving besides the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Poole of Saskatchewan, Canada, Mrs. Lois McMullen of New Ross and Mrs. Helen Selby of Alamo; two sons, Thomas Elmer McGinnis of Parkersburg and Arista McGinnis of Wallace; a brother, Frank McGinnis of Westville, Ill., and 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Alfred Dodds of Veedersburg officiating and burial in the Zackmire Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral home.

Parvin McGinnis, 73, a farmer, died in Danville, Ill at 2:30 a.m. Thursday Aug 18, 1960.  Born in Fountain County April 29, 1887 he was a son of Thomas and Susan Starnes McGinnis. He was a member of the Freedom Christian Church near Wallace.  He was married in 1910 to Bessie Atkinson, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Poole of Canada; Mrs. Lois McMullen of New Ross and Mrs. Helen Selby of Wallace; two sons: Thomas Elmer of Parkersburg and Arista of Wallace; a brother Frank of Westville, Ill; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.  Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman with Rev.
