Funeral services for Charles McGill, age 79, resident of the Dana community who died Tuesday Oct 23 were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kersey-Overpeck Funeral Home at Dana. Mr. McGill died in Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill where he was admitted three days before. He had farmed in the Kingman area before going to Dana. He was born Jan 3, 1889, the son of James and Minerva Davis McGill. His wife, the former Anna Mae Bennett survives. Surviving in addition to the wife are two sons, Donald of Momence, Ill and Charles Jr of Dana; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Steward of Realto, Calif; Mrs. Donna Harrison of Zionsville and Mrs. Mary Ellen Jackson of Kingman 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery.
